OK !!! What's the deal with Model 63 Prices ? ? ?
As some of you might know, I'm into ALL THINGS N (frame that is) and after looking for a while found a near new 63 4 inch no dash one, for 550 out the door. I just came home and searched my fav auction sights and a few have sold this year for near $600, add shipping and local xfer.
IS THIS A SUPPLY AND DEMAND situation or WHAT? Thanks-Dan

Yes, they became very expensive during the ammo shortage/price hikes and have stayed fairly high-priced. It probably motivated the factory to reintroduce the current 3" 63.
After you are able to shoot yours, let us know if you think you overpaid .

There was a N.I.B. pinned bbl. M63 at the Reno show for $600 and it was gone before I could get to the table it was on. My bro in law spotted it and came to tell me but it sold before we could get back. No matter, a little later, I found a non pinned example in real nice condition for $450. No pin, but a $150 savings, and it shoots as well as my 4" M617 no dash. I think the prices may go down as soon as some of those 8 shot Ruger SP101 22's start to show up. Both are fine revolvers. Yeah, the 63s are so expensive -- I bought an old style Taurus 94 made in 1990. When I first saw it I swore it was a S&W. It looks like a little S&W Model 67 -- adjustable sights and no shroud under the barrel. Nice wooden stocks. Got it for $300 and shoots nearly as smooth as my J-frames. Of course, Taurus revolvers made in 1990 were a whole different universe from the newer ones.

Yep, I have a 'new style' Taurus .22 in the drawer
that I'll take over and see if I can trade for the M63. I can't work on Taurus triggers like I can S&Ws and the 8 pound DA on the Taurus is a little much for me.....Dan
