Highway Patrolman 28-3 grip type?

Hello everyone,
I have a .357 28-3 highway patrolman that is an old Oklahoma Highway Patrol service gun and I am wanting to do away with the pachmyr rubber grips and get wood grips for it. My question is,did the 28-3 come with the wood football grips or the wood speedloader cutout grips? Or were both grips available for the 28-3? I'm not sure what year it was made and I can't tell you that right now because it is getting reblued. I know that the 28-3 was made from 1982-1986 but that's all I know of the gun. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Speedloader cut out targets would be period correct, but most likely left the factory wearing magna style stocks.
