Model 22-4 grip question
I just bought an N-frame model 22-4 in .45acp
I'd like to buy some square butt (SB) rubber grips to switch out on occassion. Anyone know where I can get some? I looked around and don't think any of them fit the SB .45acp revolver.
Thanks!

Welcome to the forum from a fellow Texan.
I put a set of Hogue rubber grips on mine as the
small grips that came on it didn't fit my hand.
Google Hogue grips and look for N frame square butt.
I think you are going to like the 22-4. It is a lot of fun
to shoot.

Gracias, amigo. I saw that there were several available but none actually said the Model 22-4 or .45acp, so I didn't know. Is it true that N Frame rubber square butt grips will work on all N Frames regardless of caliber?
Gracias y tiene buen noche,
Chris

Another option is the grip that was nearly standard on a police issue revolver in the 60's and 70's, the Pachmayr Gripper. Personally I prefer this over the Hogue monogrip because I find it's a bit more hand filling and wider at the rear. There is also the Gripper Pro, which is 10% smaller in circumference or the Decelerator that is near the 500 Magnum monogrip in size but I find the softer compound in the Decelrator to interfere a bit with recoil management. Since my hands are a bit larger than average I like the Gripper on all my square butt grip frames and the 500 Magnum monogrip on the round butt grip frames.

Would an N frame grip work on all other S&W N frames regardless of caliber? This is my first Smithy, so I'm really pumped....but really new to the whole framing system they have. :-)

Yes, an N-frame is an N-frame is an N-frame as far as grips go except for some earlier pre-war models. Also, be aware that there are both (traditional) square and (later) round butt grip frames requiring proper grips respectively.
Confused yet? You'll figure it out before long after some reading here. Welcome to the forum.
