"Rare" 629-2 with Kuracs
Well, maybe not really rare, but at least a bit unusual. Thought I'd post a picture of a recent find. S&W 629-2 with 7 1/2" full lug barrel, non-fluted cylinder with counterbores, sporting a set of birdseye maple Kuracs. They made 750 of these in 1989 as a special distributor run. I anticipated it would be muzzle heavy, but it's remarkably well balanced.
The picture isn't the greatest, but wanted to share it.

The Un-fluted cylinder adds weight back to the rear.... hence the better balance than you thought you would have with the full lug on it....
NICE 629!!
