Default Ladysmith M 60-7 value?

Hope my fellow members (experts) can determine a rough/accurate value for my father's Ladysmith M 60-7 38 spl stainless so i can sell it at a fair value. My father said he bought it back in the early 90s. He only shot it a couple of times and then stored in a safe and forgot about it. So it probably has been sitting the safe for about 20 years.

Here are some pics of it.

What do you guys think i can get for it? Thx

If it has the original box and carry case, I would think $450?

I got a brown carry pouch but no box. Is the brown carry pouch a factory original pouch? brand is Kolpin.

If it is the pinkish soft case with handles and the Ladysmith logo, it it original. I would guess about $450-500. This was the first model 60 of the era rated for +P ammo, and the LS models tend to have nice triggers. Consider posting it here in the for sale section. Hope this is helpful.

The -7 is the best version of the Model 60 that was ever made. I have one exactly like this that I bought from a forum member last year and I think I paid somewhere around $450 for it. In my opinion they are certainly worth more than the new ones. If I were you I'd keep this as a shooter and find something else to sell.

I'm thinking about $5.64.

My daughter-in-law has a very nice

Thanks

Dave Sinko is correct - I've read a number of experts who regard the 60-7 as "best of breed". I had one for a while and ended up trading it to a fellow Forum member. It was a good trade, but I do miss it. In my experience, a good range for any J-frame (assuming it is in good condition) starts at $350.00 and goes up to around $500.00+ assuming you have the original box, documents, etc. - more if it has engraving, etc. Many guys don't like the Ladysmith logo/branding for their own use. Others, like myself, could care less. Thus, the Ladysmith logo on your Model 60 could either lower the interest/dollars to a potential buyer, or could have little to no effect on it.

Best of luck,

Dave

Yes, the factory advertising of the time stated this specifically. However, if you call the factory asking about a 20 year old used gun with an unknown history they will likely say no, understandably.

Values have also gone up in the past 3+ years.
