Default 386NG questions?

Having to sell a lot of my collection last summer (long story) I have been slowly trying to build it back up. Like everyone else, money is short and scarce sometimes. I had some non gun related items that I traded for a new in the box 386NG Nightguard.
I don't know a thing about this revolver, whether it is worth keeping or tradeing off for something that I want to replace that what I had to sell.
The fellow I got this from told me that it was a very expensive revolver but I haven't been able to get out and price the thing. S&W's site has a "suggested retail price" but I that it is overly exaggerated.
It really isn't something that I would have bought for myself, but playing with it, it kinda grows on you.
Comments, suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks
Danny A.

Is the 386 NG the 44 Mag? I have a the 327 NG which is a 8-shot 357 Mag, so price may not be a good comparison. The 7-shot was less but don't remember how much. I checked around a lot and the best I could do was 850 OTD. (oh, and a free hat ) NG's are being touted as good for home defense and I think they are, I also carry mine a lot but some don't like the size for carry. I like mine, fits and feels good w/no problems.
Hope that helps.

The one I have is a 7 shot 357magnum. I called a lgs here in town and was offered $750.00 towards the cost of any gun they had in stock. They also said that they sell them out of their shop for $899.00.
Now I don't know if this is a good deal or not, without knowing what I could actually sell or trade this gun for.
I am looking to replace my Browning Hipower that I sold and also a Colt Goverment that I had to sell.
If I could get either one of those for the Night Guard that I have I would consider a trade.
Thanks for the offer though.

Your 386NG is an AirWeight L Frame 7 Shot 357 Magnum. It will have a 2-1/2" barrel, and SS Cylinder. The front sight will be an XS 24/7 Tritium Night Sight. The rear sight will be a Cylinder & Slide Extreme Duty Fixed Sight.
All speedloaders, grips, etc made for a 7 shot 686 round butt should work with it.

The 386 Night Guard is a very desirable concealed carry revolver.

I have a 310NG, which is the N Frame 10MM/40 S&W version. It is one of my favorite concealed carry revolvers.

Yep, it is a very nice revolver that grows on you. I just didn"t know a lot about it or what it is worth.
If I am going to trade it off I don't want to fire it but if I can't work a trade I think I am going to use it. We will see, I may list it in the Classified section.

I have two Night Guards. The 327 and the 315. I like both of them. I really like the XS Dot front sight. I prefer white sights. The NGs are light and made to carry. I have not seen a 386NG in store but I have seen most of the other NG models. If I saw one before I got the 327NG then I would have bought it. I would like to see a 3 inch version someday.

Like I said, the more I play with it the more it grows on you. I'm with you, I think a 3 inch would be about perfect.
