Current production 63 with 3" barrel
Yea or Nay for a used buy with purportedly only 100 rounds fired? Fair price would be?

Looks like NIB, they're $600 +/- --- few used on auctions sites --- $450 -500 seems about right for almost new...

Just bought one new a month or so ago for a little over $600 from Bud's, no tax or shipping. So I would think one with only a 100 rounds through it would be a good buy at about $100 less.

I snoozed and losed on the used one, so I just went to the LGS and ordered up a new one. Should be here next week.

You'll love your new 3" 63 - great revolver. I had owned a 5" 63 for a while when I bought my new 3"-er 11/10 - great purchase - favored the first day and every day dince. A keeper! The '99 vintage 4" 651 (.22 WMR), middle below, is also a keeper. They all look and feel better with the 60 Pro grips ($43 + s/h from S&W Accessories) - a great addition to the 3" 63.

I picked up the 63 the other day and put about 300 rounds thru it. I checked it over pretty well (I thought) before I took delivery. I got home and put it away and took it back out the next day and noticed the barrel is clocked a few millimeters to one side. There were a few times while I was shooting it where I closed the cylinder and the trigger wouldn't pull. I opened and reclosed the cylinder and it was fine. I can't believe I missed the barrel clocking on the intial inspection. Trigger is kind of gritty. I'm going to shoot it again before I decide if I'm going to send it back in for the barrel clocking. It was shooting as accurate as I'm capable of out of the box. Don't really care for the red fiber optic front sight and might look into a green one.

I'm not crazy about the fiber optic sight either. The sights that I have painted on other guns with blaze orange lure paint show up better.
How hard is it to change sights?

Just pinned on for this model, new sight in green would probably run about $40 and have to be drilled for pinning.
