I also was shooting my 2 3/4” 69 today. Mostly with 44 special loads. Mine seems to like the sig v-crown 44 special loads. Very accurate load from my gun.
I also shot some underwood 44 special load of 200 grain xtp. Accurate but not quite as good. When compared my my lower power 44 mag loads of 44 mag of 9.6 grains of unique, both were easier on myself than my handloads.
Fun guns for sure.

Hot .357 magnum loads with light (125 or 110 grain) bullets are known to cause forcing cone erosion and top strap cutting.
I wonder if the same thing happens with hot light-bullet .44 mag loads?

The .44 Magnum was invented for hunters so when you shoot something it will kill it, clean it and cook it all in one shot!
