Here are my PC 629-7 Magnum Hunter and 629-6 Backpacker. The Backpacker was not made at the PC but I sent it there for an action job. The action job included installing an 80% mainspring and rebound spring. Smoooth!

All I can say is, I will now have to replace my laptop, because all the drool from looking at this thread has damaged it beyond repair. Seriously, thanks for this thread. I'm new to firearms, and I absolutely love revolvers. If I ever have the chance to get a PC Smith, you can bet I'm going to jump on it.

Jughed, I'm glad you resurrected this ol thread, I never caught it when it was new. The PC 629s really suck me right in. I've been lusting after a dash 3 or 4 Carry Comp but what was once a $1000 gun is now $4000 and outta my range. Here's my humble collection.
629-4 Master Hunter Scope Only
629-6 Magnum Hunter Plus Two Tone
629-6 Comp Hunter
629-6 Black Comp Hunters
And a pair of 629-7 .44 Magnum Hunters

My favorite carry gun is a pre-lock L-Comp
Perfect balance of weight, size, power and accuracy. Pretty much the perfect revolver for self defense.

I can't even find common models around here let alone P/C guns.
Here is my 10.5" 500. It's the only performance center gun I have

l have a few PC guns. l prefer them because they are unique and different.
However, one thing they CAN'T do.. That's outshoot a production revolver.

929 minus the cap. I dont shoot it with the cap, because I had an "incident" where the cap came loose while shooting. Here's a pic shown with the ported cap. It also comes with a cap 'cap'. But I just figured it was something else I had to clean.

My 500 Magnum PC. I am proud to be with her. Never plan on letting her go, but she can be a handful sometimes.... The Performance Center trigger is the best trigger I have ever felt on any weapon, so light and crisp. This gun feels like it was developed around the 500 Mag cartridge, and handles it beautifully.

Another 627.5 UDC. Not sure, but it may be my only PC gun. Probably the smoothest DA trigger I have. I carry it regularly in a Galco CM or shoulder rig. I traded in to a 10+ inch PC 500, but quickly dumped it. Not sure the 640 Pro counts.

My one and only, a 625 I recently purchased new.
Had I not gotten it for less than the price of a new JM, I might be ticked off. Check that, I would be upset.
The low price was offset by the immediate need to replace the candy cane grips. They’re not just an ugly face.
The action is unremarkable and needs tuning.
I’m not a hater at all, just very underwhelmed.
