Where can I get a Holster for a 5" 686?

I just picked up a 686 5" barrel and I am looking for a good leather holster with a thumb strap. I know there are some great custom holster makers out there but I cant afford one right now.

Anybody know of a company that produces one? I checked Galco and Bianci and cant seem to find one. People tell me to just get a 6" but I really want a 5" for a 5" revolver.

For general field carry check out the Model 5. It comes standard with Thumb Break Retention. $65 Shipped

That is plenty cheap for a custom made leather holster.

Ray will need all your information:
Gun Model
Barrel Length
Right of Left Hand
Belt Size
Color

NOTE: If your 686 is a 7 shooter you need to check with Ray and see if he has a 7 shot Try Gun. If he does not, have him skip Detail Boning the Cylinder Flutes. The web site did not say if he detail bones the Model 5 or not.

Dude, yes! I have a 686+ Pro Series 5" and was having the same problem. I ordered a leather thumb snap holster from Ray's Holsters. He customized it from a 6" to a 5" for me for only a $10 charge. So I got a nice leather holster for $45 and it arrived in 4 weeks. Trust me, call Ray and you'll get just what you need. Http://www.shado.com

The manufacturers mentioned in the above responses produce excellent holsters. I'd also suggest you take a look at El Paso Saddlery.

I've purchased many fine holsters from El Paso Saddlery starting way before the days of the Internet.

Thanks all. Looks like Lobo is the place to go and $65 is a right in my price point. The other stuff i was looking at was 200 - 300 there was no way I was going to spend that.

My cylinder is unfluted so I don't have to worry about detail boning. I should probably mention that to him.
