I just like wood! Custom hand fitting wood. Segal gets the node, but the PC grips on my 44 PC are REALLY NICE TOO.

mostly because they didn't make a "Bodyguard" version of the K-frame.
I've been considering commissioning a grip maker to duplicate these in wood or fake ivory.

If you are able to have wood grips made of these, I hope you post a picture. I can imagine that in walnut with silver and brass embellishments looking pretty darn good.

For me the Pachmayr feels great while shooting full .357 loads - but I am not a fan at all of their appearance. The Hogue Monogrip is "ok" for my hands.

Hogue grips feel a lot better TO ME than Pachmayrs or wooden, although I have wood on my Ruger Redhawk in .44 mag. The main thing I look for is "feel and fit" in my XXL hand.

I prefer wood grips on all of my guns including the magnums.

Groo here
I maybe an exception...
NONE and I mean NONE of my double action revolvers have wood
grips on when shot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
After 40 some years of shooting magnums I have a buildup of
bone at the base of my thumb, that will get hit by any wood grip
I have tried on my revolvers...
Some day I may try a set of custom fit stocks but Pacs
are thin and soft enough to not cause tears...
Ps Whoo is grabing hard enough that you cant adjust on the way up??
I learned a long time ago that the gun needs to wiggle a little to clear
leather without binding and so don't hold real tight..
[ that is done just before you shooot]
