My shooting buddy and I have Model 29's with the 10-5/8" barrels and 4 position front sights. These things are a lot of fun to shoot.

My buddy is really fascinated with them, and we've read the article in the SCSW about them. Does anyone have any idea approximately how many were made? They're not real easy to find...especially not in high condition. We've NEVER seen one with the nbox and papers. What type box and goodies should it have? Was there ever a verison in a presentation box? Can anyone post any pics?

I believe there are a couple of long barreled 29-3's with the blue box on GunBroker now. They did make a special presentation case which was a special order item - I have seen maybe a dozen or so. All need to be relined. They were actually made as 29-3's - both N-prefixed and alpha-numeric, 29-4's, 29-4E's (emdurance package) and 29-5's. (I need a 29-4 yet)

Anyone know how much a 29 sihouette 100% no box or papers are actually selling for nowdays. Not on auction sites

i'm not sure i have ever seen a 100%gun...i saw a very nice one at my LGS recently...it was $795 i believe
