Default Question about this Letter from Roy

I have this letter from Roy about one of my guns.
He has indicated that 955 units were manufactured in the configuration matching my gun.

I have always believed that this configuration had 200 4" barreled guns and 116 six inch barreled guns, (or vice versa). Now, that sure doesn't add up to 955 units.

Everybody with me so far?

Here is the letter.
What am I missing?

A little help here...

Thanx,

bdGreen

Where did you come up with these figures? It would seem that the number quoted in the letter is from factory records and would be correct.

BDgreen,

I beleive maybe you got the numbers turned around with the no dash 617 non underlug Ashland run. There was supposedly 200 of the 4 inch and 116 of the 6 inch like you mentioned in the no dash non underlug run. The letter and figure for your dash 1 non underlug should be correct.

The issue appears to be that you believe your gun, it thinks, according to the picture, that it is a 617 no dash. But, it is really a 617-1 according to Roy's letter. Very nice either way.
