TYLER T GRIP FANS ? ? ? (post your pics)
I have a 2 1/2" 686 that's wearin' Magna PC grips. This revolver came with finger groove Combat grips which I sold to a fellow forum member, because they did not fit my hand. I am now considering adding a Tyler T grip adapter to give a little better control with Magnum loads. As I have never found a set of finger groove grips of any brand that fit my hand, I am wondering how this is gonna work out. Looking at the Tyler T, it appears that the two fingers between the trigger finger and the pinkie actually rest in the large top groove. The pinkie appears to rest at the bottom, below the dividing ridge. IS THIS TRUE ? ? Has anyone who has NOT been able to use traditional finger groove grips by S&W or Ahrends had any luck using Tyler Ts ? ? Below is a pic of the type of grip that my 686 is wearing. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO POST PICS of your revolvers wearin' Tyler Ts. It's just such a great retro look......

Take a look at BK grips also. If they need a little adjustment the color is all the way through. Also they have 2 clips instead of 1. Mark

+1 for BK Grips. I have them on my 13-3 3 inch and my 36 no dash. They work great and Kip is nice guy to boot.

My only T grip, had it for many years. Noticed some fit very well around the frame of the gun, others, not so well. Notice the gap by my trigger guard.Looking a second time at the pictures posted, the N frame Tylers seem to fit best. Any of you guys posting buy your Tylers recently? Here is my 686 2 1/2 with grips I bought probably 20 years ago, probably Altamont, but not sure. Another option for your 686. Tylers are cool and I too like the retro look. And they work! Fill the gap between the trigger guard and the grip.

29-4, and the t-grip was bought from Tyler 3 or 4 years ago, iirc.

After the fantastic response of gorgeous pics to my OP, I bit the bullet and bought a Tyler-T on E-bay for my 686 . They fit my hand like a glove, and set off my refinished grips very well. I LOVE the tacticool, retro look. Here's some pics.....(BTW, I also learned my photo skills SUCK ! ! !)

438 With Tyler T-Grip
Two pictures of my 438 with Charles Spresser Micarta Grips and Bronze Tyler T-Grip. This new gun is now my favorite for daily carry, and yes it has a lock.

Smith & Wesson Model 10-5 from 1970. The T-Grip is actually for a round butt, but it works just fine. This is for when I go "retro."
