640 magnum question?
About the stainless 640 in .357, does the first version have the dogleg or a round cylinder stop?
Thanks

I believe the first .357 640 (the -1) has the integral or dogleg cylinder stop.

My 640-1 is early production, forged parts and rollmarks - with the integral stop..... or dogleg. Regards 18DAI

All .357 J-Frame guns are built on the so-called J-Magnum frame, with the integral frame lug. This is the principal identifying feature of the magnum frame.
The cylinder stop is internal, completely different part.
