Looks like a nice one, I'm sure UPS will keep it dry. Great revolvers, enjoy.

Model 18-4 arrived today and is mechanically sound but very dirty. The LGS my has a range so tried it out , M18 is accurate but so dirty the cases stuck. Got home found big chunk of lead top of the forcing cone that took a few hours to clean out . Put on new Altamonts bought few months ago.

You made a very nice choice for a .22 LR revolver. I used one as a practice revolver on the PD as it was so similar to my Model 19 service revolver.
I recently just bought another one from a member here. Fortunately, the member I bought it from knew how to keep a revolver clean. It is a fine shooter as yours should also be.
Over the years, I've found that using copper wash or other hard lube bullets keep the charge holes cleaner and thus do not require as much brushing as soft lube (wax) bullets.

That is a very handsome 18–4. Congratulations to you and may it serve you for many years to come!
Your photography with the Altamont grips is also inspiring; almost looks as though the 18-4 should be brought back as a classic!

The 18-4 is the one gun I always regretted selling. It had the target hammer and trigger and I put the target grips on it. I wasn't in to pistols for a long time and it just laid in the safe so I sold it to buy something else. Now that I am back into revolvers I really regret that sale. I should have just shoved it to the back of the safe. It was in the original box in the wax paper and barely shot.

Took M18 to range earlier and cases are still sticking , going to give a long soak with Hoppes and scrub some more.
