Default CS-1 ?

Checking out a CS-1 on GB.
Question .

Did S&W EVER make a three inch 686 (pre lock ) that was NOT a CS-1?

What is a decent price to pay for a three inch CS-1 model?

Yes they did make 3" pre-lock 686's, -5 for sure, and -4' s . Also Lew Horton had some guns built for them.
I just looked at that one myself. The BIN may be a tad bit high, depending on how much you want it.
There was a discussion recently about them, I'll see if I can find it.

Here:

Which revolver should I get? 3" CS-1 prelock or new 2 5/8 627

Going FAIR price for a CS1 three inch?
I hardly see them for sale. I would not mind to get just a three inch pre lock/pre mim 686. Is they made them .

I am also researching a current 627 8 shot.
