I was able to get to the range with my new model 642CT for the first time just to see if it goes bang... and it does! This gun is the factory replacement for a BG38 Bodyguard S&W couldn't make operational.
Standard WWB and Remington 130 grain factory fodder for the first trip out. I also took a mid '80s model 60 (no dash) all stainless snubbie for comparison.
The 60's sight really suck, so the accuracy hat tipped to the 642's slightly better iron sights. With the laser the 642 enters a new realm of accuracy for a small gun, especially for my older eyes. There was hardly any noticable difference in felt recoil between the light 642 and the heavy 60, but this comparison was with standard pressure range ammo.
Below are targets fired standing at 21 feet and 14 feet. I think this one is a keeper!
