Default MP360 Trigger

Has anyone updated the stock trigger on their MP360? I just got one as a CCW gun and I like it. I have a model 60 chiefs special manufactured in 1971. The model 60 has a very light trigger. The new MP360 has a pretty strong trigger pull. I don't have a gauge to measure but the difference is noticable. The APEX kit takes the stock pull from 12 to 9 lbs. Has anyone tried this kit? Are there other kits available to do the same job?

I have the Apex kit installed in a model 60. It makes for a light trigger, but....
a) I chose to ditch the Apex firing pin & spring. The firing pin would stick in the forward position when dry firing, preventing closing a loaded cylinder - checked the OD and it was oval and a couple thousandths larger than stock. Got a replacement and it did the same thing after a while, so I put the factory back in.
b) Many folks reccomend not messing with the stock hammer spring due to possible failure to fire issues. I have not seen this to be a problem with the Apex hammer spring, even with cci primers.
c) The Apex rebound spring is a little lighter than many would prefer. You can outrun the trigger return pretty easily. I'm thinking about replacing it with a slightly heavier wolff rebound spring, but still lighter than factory.

I pulled the internal of my 642 and used a ceramic sharpening stone to smooth the edges of all the moving parts. Not a removal of metal but a removal of burs and mold edges. I found a video on u tube of a gunsmith doing this and I have to say it made a noticeable difference in my gun. This left the springs alone so I have no questions as to the reliability of the gun being compromised. Just my .02 but worth a try before you start swapping parts.
Frank.

I have used both the Apex and Wilson Combat 321 in my J frames. My suggestion would be to go with the Wilson kit. Midway has them for under 9 bucks.
