S&W Governor. Whats are they going for?
Looked at one at Academy today and thought it would be a nice "toy", and something differant. It is $600 + tax. Also, what can be the expected accuracy with Winchester white box 45acp, or other value priced 45 acp?

600 seems about right, I just got one for my Poly Judge +225 cash. Can't speak to 45 ACP accuracy yet sorry. I looked at the barrel last night however and I have to say it's pretty aggressive. Much better than my judge was so I expect good things.

600 seems about right for what I see at gun stores.
I wish I could tell you about accuracy, etc but cannot.
I've been eyeballing these for a fun gun.

Guv
I bought my Guv for $600+ tax. I mainly shoot .45ACP using my reloads. The weapon is an outstanding shooter, has No issues and is extremely accurate. I use it as my EDC,it hides well with an untucked shirt. Shooting .410 is a real Hoot, lotsa fun!. Good Luck with yours.

They are still in short supply and usually sold at or above retail in our area.

I have had my Gov'nah since January. It is remarkably accurate at the range using .45 ACP and .45 Long Colt. I have had it to the Skeet Range. While positioning myself on stations #1 & #7 I have been hitting 20% of the clays. This is much harder than using the conventional shotgun.

Just took mine out the other day and I found the same thing, very accurate with ACP!

I picked up a Governor about a year ago at a local gun shop (LGS),
used, for $525.00 and was in the same LGS last week where I saw
another in the used gun case, although I didn't check the price.
If it wasn't such a "special niche" revolver, at least I think it is, I might have pulled
the trigger on the one I seen last week, that is if the price was reasonable.

I sold my Taurus Judge and added about another $100 to get my used Governor. That puts me into it for about $550. I replaced my Judge because I wanted the S&W's extra round of capacity and the option of using .45 ACP ammo.
The top target was shot with .45 ACP 230 grain FMJ and the bottom target was shot with .45 Colt 250 grain lead. The target distance was 12 yards.
I do not consider .410 handguns toys and I have replaced my S&W 4003TSW nightstand gun with my (now Crimson Trace equipped) Governor. Mine is loaded with three Winchester PDX1 rounds and three .45 Colt 225 grain Winchester Silvertip HPs.
