Default Boise Gun Show Personal Results

So today was the last day of a 2 day gun show here in Boise.
Here is what I did for 2 whole days

Day 1:
I went down with what I got from selling my 4" round butt S&W Model 19 -7 and ending up buying a 4" square butt Smith & Wesson Model 19 -5 which came with 4 HKS speed loaders and a Bianchi 111 holster which carries nicely. Got it all cleaned up and the trigger pull is smooooooooooooth. Its the best trigger of all my Smiths I have ever owned. I suppose that is because I am the fifth owner. It has target stock on it and I have factory magnas en-route from my parents in Virgina; they should be here this week. Pictures to follow. I paid $450 for it which I feel is fair considering the holster and how clean it is. Waaaaaaay cleaner than my Model 19-7 I had.
I almost ended up with a 3" round butt Model 19-7 as well but the owner didn't want to move on the price and I felt it was too high so I passed out of principle.
I also picked up a Bianchi 111 for my 4" Model 28 so I have the same holster for both of my carry guns.

Day 2:
Today I nabbed a box of Lake City .30-06 Springfield for $10. Its from the CMP and will live with my M1903A3 and a Vietnam ear nylon GI sling. Got that for a beater rifle. I also sold my Steyr M95 which I had no ambition of loading for and as such would never shoot. Got what I wanted for it too 5 tables into the show
Nothing else of note but I did spy a very clean S&W Model 27-2 for $600. No box or papers and it has a 6" barrel, almost no wear. I am thinking about that one seriously but I think I shall pass. Who knows *shrug* I really would like a Model 29 with a 4" barrel more right now.
Last minute buy on the way out was a full box of UMC manufactured primed 44 WCF brass. I thought it was 44 Special brass but brain misfired on reading the headstamp. too good to be true I guess. Ah well, they're neat to have in the original box.

Good score! I am glad you found a holster for that 28 that I sold you. I ended up with a Ruger Gold Label, a no dash 686, and a Winchester 92 in 44 mag. I felt there were some pretty decent deals at the I-Dee-How gun show! I sold/traded off a model 57 that I was really having a hard time getting rid of. I went and shot 3 rounds of trap today with the Ruger and think I will be selling it, it kicks like a mule compared to an auto! Oh well, hopefully it wont be as hard to sell as a 41 mag. If you ever get serious about a 29 4" let me know...

@jamesr14, agree with you on the model 57 .41 mag. I've owned mine (6" blue, ‎made/shipped in 1982) for 28 yrs. and have thought about selling/trading locally. Seems not to have much appeal and ammo is pricey too (I do hand load).
