Question about Lew Horton Heritage Series 25-11
Edit: Posted this yesterday shortly after picking up the revolver. After examining it, I had questions. I found in another post on this forum that this model has a forged hammer and trigger, plus it lacks the internal lock. Apparently, these guns aren't real popular, so I'm not finding much information.
One thing that I haven't read about is the screw in the trigger. Is this a Performance Center thing? Does the Performance Center handle all of the low production guns? Sorry for the newbie questions. This is my first PC gun.
Original post:
Just got my newest purchase today. According to the SCSW (page 348), there were 150 of these puppies made. Mine came with the box, papers, and fired cartridge. Supposed to be unfired except for the test round.
Pretty neat gun. I also like the case colored version, but this is what I found. Not many of these for sale.
These are listed as Performance Center revolvers.

That's a pretty one , congrats. I'd be proud to own that. I think it may need some bigger grips though, for shooting.

Thank you.
I agree. Those grips seem awful small for shooting. I doubt I'll shoot this one, anyway.

Added question to original post. I'm curious about the screw in the trigger and would welcome any other information people have on this model. I can't find much information about it.
Do many guys on the forum have one of these?
Thank you.

The screw is an overtravel stop, seen on various revolvers over the years. There also used to be an overtravel stop that protruded from the back of the triggerguard.

If only the "classics" line was like this. This is the attention to detail that I'd be happy to pay MSRP for.

Thanks for the information.
I soaked it up good with CLP Break Free last night and it really shines. The box smelled like smoke, but it seems to be airing out.
I've read that the gun shipped with a Master lock, or something similar. I didn't receive one with the gun. I'm not sure if that matters to a collector?

I've been looking for a Heritage Series 45; I have one in .44 & it needs a big brother! I don't know why they didn't make more; the long tapered barel really handles nicely!
I don't think the lock is anything to worry about...they are cheap & plentiful.

I may have a lock for you, if you can post a pic of what it looks like.

That would be great if you have one. I could only find one picture and it's not a very good one.

There is one on GB, but the price is a lot higher than what I paid.
I'm hoping that one day people realize that these guns are really nice and scarce.

Maybe it's my eyes, but I can't see anything but some black thing in a package.

LOL. That's all I could find for pics. It looks like a trigger lock with a set of keys in a bag.
