Front sight for Model 60 Pro Series?
Has anyone changed out the inadequate, front night sight on their Model 60 Pro Series?
I think I would like a green fiber optic front sight. Or red?
Sources? Part numbers?
Thanks.

If anyone else is interested, I called S&W this morning and inquired about ordering a fiber optic sight, to replace the Trijicon night sight, on my 60 Pro Series. Unfortunately, there is not a fiber optic replacement. The slot on the barrel, that the fiber optic tenon would fit in, is too narrow.

I have a 640 Pro and it comes with a Cylinder and Slide front and rear sights. They are very good, and non-snag. The best sights I've seen on a revolver.
If S & W won't install them, then send the gun to Cylinder and Slide and they will.

I guess you just can't believe everything you're told! I went ahead and removed the front sight today (Tuesday). The slot is the same width as the sight, .125.
I'm now undecided between the red ramp sight and a SW1002 Hi-Viz fiber optic. It seems that either one will work.

I first bought the SDM F/O sight from Midway (@$28) and it was OK, but later changed to the patridge style with gold bead (@$50). Not really any better but it now matches exactly my 627PC and SSR. No trouble CCH drawing with the square front sight edge. The rear adjustable sight is slightly more of a problem but OK. Had to file the (lower half) tenon sides slightly as it was a very tight fit and I didn't want to have to hammer on the matte black finish to fully seat. Slim
