Great looking gun there. I shot some handloaded .44 spl yesterday out of my 629. I love those 200 gr. Lazercast bullets in front of 8 gr. Unique. The .44 is such a rockin' round! Clean Break

I have one from 1985 and I use it when I get tired of heavy magnum loads in my M629. The 44 special is a very accurate cartridge. Of course, I also shoot the light 44 Special loads from my M629 and my Ruger Flat Top. BTW, the Ruger outshoots both of my 44 S&W's. Big Larry

Indeed, the 6.5" 624 is a splendid revolver. You chose wisely and well.
