Cylinder release latch that covers the lock?
Hi, I usually try to stay away from the newer guns with the frame lock, but I found a good deal on a 625JM, and I am thinking about buying it. In the newest Dillon catalog, I saw an aftermarked thumb latch made by a company called California Competition Works, that is shaped much different than the factory thumb latch and almost looks like it would cover the unsightly little hole. Does anyone know if it does, or any other aftermarket latches that would?
Thanks!

The hole for the lock is ugly but the nagging thought of a lock failure just when you don't want one is what turns me off about these guns.

It will not cover up the lock hole, neither will the C&S latch.

Pretty sweet idea
That may be a pretty great idea. If it was executed properly, that might make me consider a few guns I'd written off.

Unfortunately covering up the lock, doesn't make it disappear. It's still a lock, and you won't fool your friends, or yourself, for very long.

A drop of thread locker will keep the lock from locking.

It does not cover up the lock. Jeesh guys what does that tiny lock really matter. (rhetorical question) Outside of this forum....no one really cares about the silly lock. A select few on this site have created "the lock monster".
