Just says .41 magnum on one side, Smith & Wesson on the other.

Under the grip it is a round butt. No box.

It looks like a 657-3 made around 1996-97. Swing the cylinder open and see what's stamped in the yoke cut below the barrel. With the factory PowerPort and an unfluted cylinder, I'll guess it's a Classic Hunter II.

It's stamped 657-4.

Thanks for the useful link! I guess it may indeed be one of these limited runs.


I took it to the range and got a lot of light primer strikes.


Someone must have loosened it up too much. It's fixed, will have to try again.

Sounds like someone backed out the mainspring strain screw on the front strap.
