Default Model 631 prices through the roof!!

Hello all, I am a .32 h&r magnum addict, verified by the safe full of all of the models made by S&W (plus a few rugers). My first purchased one was a model 631 in 1990 for $400.00. I saw this 631 on GB and look at what it sold for, and no I was not the winning bidder!!

That is downright confusing. I have a 631 and it is a 4" barreled model with target sights (.32 H&G Magnum). It is a valued piece, but $1100+???

The more I know, the more I know very little...

Is the 2" extra rare or something?

In the "Ruger world" .32 H&R SP101's are bringing a pretty penny.......the .32 H&R mag guns are getting collectible because .327 revolvers have brought the .32 back into the spotlight.

Wow. And without the original box, papers, or combat grips. I really like the .32 long and .32 magnum cartridges, and have a variety of revolvers chambered for them. While the S&W models like those pictured have certainly escalated in price over the last few years, this auction takes it to a new level. I purchased the 631 (center, first picture) about two years ago for $525...

And they said that the stainless guns were going to be a flash in the pan. Personally, I like the blue and stainless.
