Default Installing New Front Sight on 627PC???

I've never liked the gold bead front sight on my 627 PC.
Has anyone changed theirs?

The only alternative I've found is the HiViz SW3001.
Does anyone have experience with this sight?

I've noticed the stock sight has a cross-pin in it. How hard will it be to change?

Any help would be appreciated.

I have also thought about it, unfortunately I don't have an answer - just another question: can I install Tritium Night Sight on a S&W 627?

Not hard at all, usually no tools required. They can be a little stiff sometimes though.

changing pinned front sight in 627 pro series

Essentially push the sight black back and lift up.

I'll bet you can. Go to Mepro's website. I got a set of tritium sights there for my 3" prelock 686+, making it a SWEET carry gun IMO. I had my smith install the sights, but they turned out great.
