Smith and Wesson 65 3 inch barrel specifications
Can anybody tell me (link me) to the specifications (height/length/width/weight) of a Smith 65 with 3 inch barrel? I'm curious how it compares to my 60-10. Thanks.

I have both.
See if I can do a side by side later in the day.
The 65 is a beast compared to the rather svelte model 60-10,
even with its 3" full lug barrel.
Good luck

Allen,
Thanks for the help. Do you have a preference for the 2 for CCW? Lot of folks on these boards seem to consider the 65 3 inch the premier CCW.

red,the 65 3 inch seems to just balance perfect with its round butt firmly held in your shooting hand.i love them, and they make great range guns.the smooth top of the gun makes for easy in and out of any kind of holster.also, i know allen is a wealth of info on these guns.value his advice as i sure do

Hey twomoons...thanks for the heads up. I specifically like the fixed sights. My 60-10 has adjustable sights and they have snagged on my shirt once already--enough to concern me about using it as a CCW. I know some companies make fixed sights for the k/l/n frame...I cant find a way to get a low profile sight on the j frame.
With fixed sights and one more round capacity, the 65 3 inch seems like an option for CCW..so long as it isnt too bulky.

Trust me, it is not too bulky. Wear one for a day or two and won't even notice you have it on.
