Good find as these are scarce guns and hard to find NIB. They were never shipped with holsters but any holster for a 3" K frame will work.

The 547s never came with a holster. All of the production was shipped gun, papers, tools and box only. Great guns. As mentioned above any 3" K holster will work and there are lots of them around.

Not sure about 547s going overseas, I think they mostly stayed in the US (with a few exceptions), especially 3"ers. Were there really fewer 3" 65s made? I think that 547s are rarer, even the 3". If there are 3"ers in Germany, everyone must be holding on to them, I can't even find a reference to them over here. I found one 4", and consider myself lucky to have it, I pounced on it as soon as I smelled it.
All that aside, welcome to the 547 club, we are a small but loyal crowd!!!
Any K-Frame 3" holster will do for the 547, sort of partial to Galcos for mine these days.
Post Pics!!!

M2MG,
I wager that twomoons post got you salivating. lol.
I disagree with your statement about most 547s not going oversees. The reason is that two of mine were part of a fairly large purchase, in the neighbourhood of 50+, of surplus 547s in Israel. When they moved quickly, the shop owner said he wished he had purchased more.
How is your quest going on convincing S&W to start producing them again?

tekarra,
I've heard two stories on the Israel police thing, one that it was true, one that it never happened. I've also heard a story that the French police had ordered a contract for them. I've always wondered, I just know they aren't to be had over here; I can find 3" LS 65s and anything else S&W related, but not 547s. Exactly why when I saw my 547 I snapped it up as fast as can happen over here (which ain't real fast). Mine is interesting in that it has Munich proof house markings, and a curious little "P" on the cartridge marking on the barrel, obviously added by the proof house. If it were French, it would have the Belgian or French proof marks (I have a 619 with Belgian proofs). It's strange alright, I just wish a 3" would show it's face over here somewhere!!! Everytime I see a post like towmoons I get envious again....looking at GB just makes it worse. 3" revolvers are perfect carry revolvers for the hunting crowd; they don't like snubbies, but they don't like barrels sticking out of holsters, etc.
No progress on convincing S&W, I just have to keep hoping someone there is reading our posts!!!
Congrats again twomoons, hope to hear a good range report and see some pics soon!
