holster
Hey IHunt........I do too!!
So, I have found Simpley Rugged Pancake holsters the best all around and versatile.
They come with belt slots so you can carry it strong side or canted for crossdraw. Plus you can rig it so it is carried on the chest while in/on a horse or vehicle. Very popular in Alaska.
For your 3 inch, I would order the 4 inch model so when and if you ever do go to a 4 inch, the same holster works.
No problem about fit as Rob, the maker seems to have all the tooling and molds to make whatever you want at a very reasonable price.
I don't have the link but if you do a search on Simpley Rugged you wil get their web store.
Just an aside, I am a maker and rate Simpley Rugged one of the best holster makers for the quality and money in the business. So much so that I have their models for my 500s, 4 and 5inch, 629 4 inch, 29 6.5 inch, Colt Python 3 inch/2.5 inch
and 1911 4/5 inch. All of which can be carried strong/cross or chest.
Good Luck!

I will second the recommendation on the Simply Rugged holster. I have a 3" Mod 24, pretty nearly the same as your 29, and my Simply Rugged pancake carries so well I forget I have it on. Great protection, but keep in mind this is not a "fast draw" holster. Mine will accommodate a 4" barrel, and it is shown with a 3 1/2" Pre 27 in it.

Simply Rugged or our own LOBO. I have both, I think the SR is a better field holster, but the one I got from Ray is pretty stylish. Both work very well.

Lobo Gun Leather - Home
Ray made me a full flap field holster for my 624 snub. It is the toughest holster I have ever owned, and will outlast me.

Ordered a PMK from Milt Sparks, for my full lug 4" 625-8. Solid carry, & well worth the wait.
Fitment is exceptional: easy / fast draw, very good retention, & conceals very well - sucks the butt right in.
Works surprisingly well, w/ my 625-6MG, & 4" 686 no dash.
