Default Finally found one, 625-4 3" LH Model of 1989

As the title says...

Took some looking and patience, but pulled this out' a da hat.

****** iPhone pics, but besides the turn line, it's in amazing shape. Looks to have the case hardened Trigger and Hammer too. Came with box, papeles, and is a Lew Horton. Took off the Houges it came with and used these Ahrends.

Can't wait to take her around the block.
Does anyone know how many were made?

Nope, but I sure like that one, especially with the new stocks.

Great score. Looks like it is in fine condition. Box and papeles makes it even nicer.

However...mine has a frame mounted firing pin and is MIM hammer and trigger. Yours is a hammer-mounted firing pin. Perhaps yours is from an earlier run? Or was the same run as mine a mixed bag of firing pin types? I do not know.

They do have the same "frosted" stainless finish though.

BUT...you got yourself a nice sixgun there.

Thanks Marine. Yes, the frosted is nice, but it lends itself to really show the turn line. My 624 no dash has the regular stainless finish and it does't show like this. Besides, the shot makes it look more than it is. It really is in great shape.

No red insert on the front sight. Not sure if that was on demand for Lew, or was common for the -4.

I actually just saw a 57 in a LGS, but it had an Armalloy finish applied, I think a 4 ", but I was hesitant because I could barely make out the "57" because of the application of the finish. Sure it was ok, but that always makes me nervous. (It was also a P&R Model).

Glad I waited, patience pays off, the one or 2 times I have exercised it.

I thought I bought a nice 625 3'' 45 ACP SN BEN 4604 until Bosie Gun Company Called me and said they had my money but mistakenly sold my gun out from under me. They are hard to find, enjoy yours.

That's some hard luck Old-G. That's why when I got the call this
was in, I rushed over to prevent just that scenario.

Think positive thoughts and keep looking. Sending good thoughts your way.

oldgunclub, stay the course. I have found out late in life that when it comes to firearms patience is indeed a virtue. BUT...at my age of 58 I still have a tendency to "jump" because I am not sure how many years of good eyesight and hand coordination I have left to shoot handguns!
