Talking Picked-up my first Performance Center revolver!

I've been actively looking for a revolver chambered in .357 mag with a 4" barrel and just have had no luck at all. Living in CA limits my choices making buying used difficult. In California, handguns transferred to non-LEO by FFL must be on the CA "safe handgun roster," so for guns not on the roster, face-to-face private party transfers are usually the only practical method of obtaining a particular handgun. Anyway, nobody had anything used for sale locally and the shelves are still bare at the local shops but I figured I'd stop by one anyway at lunch and check it out. Well luck happened to be on my side today because they had two 4" revolvers on the shelf, a Taurus something or other and a Smith & Wesson Model 627. After about 30 seconds with the Smith in my hand I blurt out "I'll take it!" The dang thing is nearly twice what I wanted to pay but the trigger is just so nice I had to have it! I can't wait to shoot the beast!

You will not regret your purchase. I've been shooting a 627 PC for Steel Challenge competition. It is the best. 8 shots with moon clips is the way to go!

Congratulations!
Be sure to post some pictures and a range report! You won't regret picking it over the Taurus; Taurus' Q.C. is no good, and their customer service isn't helpful.

I'm waiting for a 686P 356/38Spcl 4" . . . waiting, waiting, . . . CA is a bit over the top with all the approved list stuff, FFL, etc.

Congrats on the 627; I've sort of got the 627 fever too.

Thanks all for the positive comments! But I need to make a correction: I bought a Pro Series 627, not a Performance Center. In my excitement I posted bad information! Once I bring it home (stupid CA 10-day wait period!) I'll post pictures and a range report.
