Default Fair price for recent production 1917 .45

A Gander Mountain locally has a new production 1917 M22 with 5.5" barrel and lanyard swivel and blue finish. I haven't seen them on Smiths website so assume they are out of production. They want $999 which seems high so I'd like an idea what I can come at them with if they'll deal any. Thanks!

I remember seeing that gun on the S&W site quite recently -- within the last couple months.

Now it seems to be gone except for an archived description page.

I've been looking for a 45 acp revolver for a while, and I saw a 1917 at a LGS about a month ago.

I think they wanted something in the low 900's $ range.

I ended up putting money down on a 625 JM instead.

Seems like they have very recently stopped producing the M22 so if a new one is what you want, better grab it soon.

Dave
