Model 66 Stainless/Age
Back in the day, my first LEO service weapon was a Model 28-?-4", late 60's, just out of the military..Heavy weapon, but I trusted the weapon, and it was very rugged and accurate. In the late 70's, these revolvers were replaced, across the board, with Model 66, 2" for plain clothes, and 4" for patrol officers. Probably the best service weapon to be had, stainless steel, adjustable sights, rugged , dependable, and very accurate. If I had a .357, it would probable be a Model 66, as I love the frame size, and easy maintainence, but would want an 8 3/8th" barrel. if it is available, for hunting. I do not know the fascination most every one has with the age of weapons. Unless it is very rare, classic, owned by some notable in history, one of a kind/special variant, really unusual caliber, or gage, I could care less. You have got a really solid, combat revolver, shoot it, enjoy it, protect your home and loved ones with it, and help preserve our 2nd amendment rights. You got the best there is S & W..Off my soapbox, sorry guys, got carried away!
