Default Just Picked up a Model 66-2 Today

I bought a model 66-2 today. The revolver looks to be in excellent shape...the square butt target stocks are near perfect, and the B/C gap is .004". Very tight in lockup and a smooth double action trigger. The S/N is AUZ31xx, and the papers in the box indicate that Lear Siegler was the parent company.

Could anyone here please tell me approximately when this revolver was made or shipped?

Thanks.

I can't help you with the birthdate, but I can tell you that you will love your new gun. I have it's older brother, a Model 66 (no dash). It has a birthdate of 1974.

Probably late 1986. You have the box? What is the Spec Ord number?

Then I'll go with Oct 22, 1986.

Thank you all for your replies...I guess this was posted in the wrong revolver forum.

I'm looking forward to shooting this revolver soon.

Congrats on your M66-2. They are sweet guns and that should provide decades of smiles.
