Nice revolver that is quite scarce with only around 3000 being produced. I think it's one of the neatest N frames S&W ever produced and will only go up in value.

Welcome to the 520 club. Very nice example of a very cool S&W.
I snagged mine a couple years ago, also without the box. Later I purchased a non-number matching original 520 box here on the forum.

I bought an unfired ANIB 520 several years ago. It's one of my few safe queens. Because of the low production number and the fact that is still the only "N" frame in .357 magnum with fixed sights, I don't shoot it. My model 28 is a great substitute, but I wouldn't mind a 520 shooter.

Im not real sure on firing it much. This is my first "collector" gun. Have other guns to shoot, but since it has already been fired, I may shoot it some. What do you guys think?

All S&W's have been fired, just all by the factory, and some by the owners. Since you do not have the box and all the acc. ,you cannot sell it as as new in box and I do not think you would hurt the value by shooting it a few times. That being said if you have fired one N frame 357 Mag. how different can it be from that one? The upshot of this is only you can decide whether to shoot your revolver or not.

Mine had been shot a few times before purchase. I took it to the range once. Not sure if I'll do it again as I have a shooter 27-2 and 28-2.
