Price check for 686-6 4 inch
Im new to this. Saw a smith 686-6 4 inch at lgs priced 599 not sure if it includes box. Does tha sound like a good price. I think i can get it for little less and if so how much? Thanks

About right for around here. If you can get it for less all the better.

It's the current model, MSRP $829 but $599 sounds like a decent price if it is good condition.

That's a good price for a 686-6 in good condition. Very good if it is a + model.
Either way, if I were in the market for a 686, I would take it at that price.

thank you for your input. my collection is just starting. revolvers are really classic looking. very nice. i think i will call them tomorrow and get the gun will sure to post a pic of it when i get it. i am sure i can figure out how to do that

You will find that there are three things that seem to matter when buying a S&W revolver; condition, condition and condition.
Some guys aren't interested unless a gun is truly pristine, others like an old dog with some history visible in its hide. Differences in taste drive market value.
Your choice. Good luck and enjoy whatever you buy. Recommend you do a search for "How to check out a used DA revolver" before you shell out the bucks. Most of us learned the hard way.
