What exactly does one get with a 627PC? The S&W website says the wood grips and a synthetic pair but what else comes with the gun? What sort of box does it come in, just a blue plastic one or do PC guns get an ungraded box?

Thanks.

New production performance center guns come in a grey plastic case. You will get the wood grips, the rubber grips which I believe are Pachmayrs, and IIRC two moon clips. Of course all of the registration paperwork and the sheet of brown wax paper along with the fired shell casing.

A gray plastic box, embossed with 'Performance Center', cable lock, moon clips, rubber Hogue grips and the typical booklet from SW.

And a whole lot of satisfaction.

Order the DeSantis leather holster too...money well spent.

The one I bought several years back that still was the 627-5 same one you are referring to came with the performance center black carry case/ gun rug along with box, paperwork, fired shell casing, 2 moon clips, lock, set of wood altamont grips and Hogue rubber grips.

Most Performance Center guns that are not Dealer or Distributor exclusives will arrive in either the plastic case or one of the PC gun rugs.

When it comes to a Dealer or Distributor exclusive offering it is what ever the party commissioned. It is the exclusives that usually go for the expensive aluminium case or a wooden, etched glass top presentation case. Realize you are paying for this, the cost to you is higher than if it was shipped in the plastic box.

158grain and MTscout should be on the money for the one you are looking at.
