Who makes an OWB holster for a 3" model 60
Did a little checking around and there is no shortage of holsters for 2" J's but I wasn't able to find a single fitted holster for a 3" M60. Looking for a comfortable OWB for carry in the woods that rides high enough to be covered by a flannel shirt.

Got one here: Hays Holsters It was molded for my 60-4 3" and fits great. I ordered the thumb snap for carry in the field/woods. Under $80 I believe. Not a long wait either.

Here's a second recommendation for Lobo Gunleather. He made an excellent holster for my 3" model 60.

Bianchi 5BHL #10261 for M36 & M60 w/ 3" bbl. I've had one for years & frankly have the 5BHL for most of my pistols. I even hand made a copy for my 3" M66.
If Bianchi does not offer for your model then go custom.

Checking my notes, I have belt holsters for 3" J-frames made by Bianchi, Safariland, Bucheimer, DeSantis and S&W. A number of other outfits made/make them, as well. There is no lack of holsters for these guns if you do some smart searching.

Smith & Wesson web site has some. Not sure who actually makes them though.

I've bought 2 holsters from Ray at Lobo Gunleather. Great gear.
Milt Sparks also makes them...the PMK is nice, but there are long wait times. I have one for a 3" N-Frame that is perfect. Photo below.
Quote:
The #PMK is similar in design to our 55BN holster, but allows the gun to set a bit lower on the belt. I originally designed this holster for my wife to help keep the butt of her Detective special from digging into her ribcage, hence her initials PMK.
Each holster is meticulously hand molded around the actual model of the revolver it is meant to carry. The mouth of the holster is reinforced with metal to provide rigidity and long lasting durability. The belt slot and rear loop are positioned so as to pull the weapon as close to the body as possible. Currently available for most revolvers with 4 inch or less barrels. Milt Sparks Web Site

Lobo Gunleather.
I just ordered one of his original pancake models for my new M640 Pro.
Ray is quoting 6 to 7 weeks for delivery.
This will be my 4th holster from Lobo.
They have excellent retention which has held up well over time.
Best,
Rick

Kramer made this one for my M29 3". A bit of a wait (but less than they said) and a perfect fit. If yours doesn't show up on their standard list, call them. They accommodated my unfluted cylinder and full length underlug request at no extra charge.

Watch eBay for older Bianchi 5B or 5BL holsters. Fits better than the 5BH holsters currently available. May take a while to find one but it will be worth searching.

I have two Bianchi #5 holsters, one with safety strap & one without, and have had a couple 5BH's. Since the 5's ride lower than the 5BH's, the best I can figure out is that B stands for thumbbreak, H stands for high-ride, and L stands for lined. The H models ride a little too high fr me, but the 5's ride perfect.

I don't have much experience with buying good
leather, but I'll put in a vote for BellCharterOak and
for LOBOGUNLEATHER. Have dealt with both, email and
by 'phone. Worked with me for final order. Great folks!
Dang, good wood, blue steel, and fine leather artistry.
Glad you asked.

( yeah, I know they're IWB, just wanted to show 'em off)

As noted by some others, the PMK is highly recommended. I have one on order and "hope" I see it for Xmas!

Do not think this requires leather. I have a Blade Tech OWB durable, smooth, secure 70.00 and was quick delivery.

You probably won't find one of these used anywhere and they are not cheap....but I like the Gibraulter Speed scabbard from K. L. Null in Resaca, GA. He used to make them in cowhide but now only does Horsehide. He does have a model for a 3" J or at least did. I don't have any for J's simply because I got my J holsters long before I started using Kenny's stuff. But I have an old one in cowhide for a 2.5" 66-1, a horsehide for 2.5" 66 no dash (my son's), and one he custom made without a mold for a 696 3" that is perfect. I think it is the best off duty own holster anywhere for L or smaller.
I started using Milt Sparks 40 years ago and my J 2" holsters that fit all my using J's are a Sparks PMK for OWB wear or a Summer Special for IWB. If I didn't have them I would get new Null GBS for them.
One nice thing in my dealings with Kenny Null is he is pretty quick in delivery, usually two to three weeks.
