586-3 opinions
What is a 586-3 worth with a 6" barrel? Also is this fixable and caused by what?

Just a guess, looks like it was left sitting on it's side in a holster or even on a bad surface in a safe in the same spot for a long time.
I'm sure it's fixable. almost anything can be fixed.

I'd try 625 as an opener.

Caused by sitting a long time on whatever surface caused it...re-blue is the only fix I know and I don't think I'd do it on that gun, the damage is not too bad.
I can't improve on the value suggestions already posted but I have a 6" and what a joy to shoot! I have so many snub revolvers I almost forget that a .357 can be comfortable.

I would say somewhere in the $400 range. The corrosion on the cylinder, aftermarket rear sight and grips that were made in Taiwan (while nice) all detract from the value. Probably a great shooter.
