Value is in the eye of the beholder.
I am a huge fan of the PC revolvers but a 681 does not do much for me. So I would not go higher than $600 if I were buying it
However a devotee of the 681 could easily offer upwards of $800 or perhaps even $900 for a PC681

As Colt SAA stated, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. That being said I'd probably pay the guy whatever he was asking, just for the chance to grab it. I wish I were in your shoes.
If all is included in your posted pic I would buy it. Price is on the upper end but package looks very nice. Got to figure the ammo and extra grips are worth a solid $100 or more. Can't see the grip picture good but if the top pair is S&W Combats they are worth $150 by themselves.

Yes, they are the Factory combats. Probably came with the gun so I would not sell them. Since you have original case and goodies you would want to keep the "package" complete.

The factory combats did not ship with that revolver. They were made at least a decade before the gun. They do add value to the package. I had not seen them, good eye KLYDE.
The grips and ammo alone add $200 or so to the package value. So if he is asking $1000 total, that makes the gun under $800. If you like 681s that is a very fair deal for a PC revovler

Plus it's a round butt (looks like it) and you don't see many of those. I like it, I like it a lot.
