Default School me on 586 patridge front sights

Good morning,

Does anyone know the height of the low profile and high profile patridge sights offered on the early 586's? I have a line on a 586-2 with what I think is the high profile sight but would like to confirm. Thanks in advance.

Here's a photo of my 586 no-dash as it was from the factory before I modified it.
It had the HP (high patridge) sight on it. The sight blade measured slightly over 1/4" tall.

Thank you! Do you have enough elevation adjustment to shoot point of aim at 25 yards?

I couldn't tell you....
This is that gun now:

Shorter barrel, different front and rear sights....
I remember it shooting lower than point of aim at 50 feet before I modified it, but I never tried it at 75 feet.
From what I understand, the HP sights were favored for longer distance shooting.

My 686 that I got in the early 80's had a high patridge sight and when I tried to adjust the rear sight the screw never had enough threads to allow me to raise it I wound up milling the front sight blade down to get it to shoot where I wanted it. Jeff
