Default Recently bought model 657

Hi everyone. I'm a new member trying to get some answers. Recently bought a model 657 with a barrel that measures 5.5 inches. Would like to know a few things about it. Markings say: 657-3
BUE0012
Gun is 99%. Can't really find anything wrong. Looks new. Wondering what year it might be. I paid $650 and the deal included 55 rounds of ammo and a shoulder holster. Is that a fair price. Thanks in advance for any help

Welcome Pa. Down in this neck of the country, your price is fair leaning toward good, especially with some ammo and a holster. The 41 magnum doesn't show up often, when it does I am most interested as it is my favorite caliber, S&W's my first choice. I think you will find the 657 to be a keeper.

Paid US$100 more for a mid '90s 6" 657 recently. Plus tax. But it was the only one seen in a couple of years or more and wasn't much differently priced than the usual .44 Mags. Inflationary pricing seems the norm with S&Ws lately. Not ten years ago, 375-450 was tops for regular old N frames in these parts.
