Default New member and new 686

Hello folks. I just started reading this forum a few days ago and you guys got me interested in the 686. I purchased a 3" barrel and really having a hard time finding a holster for the 3". I can find a Galco Fletch for a 4" but no 3". Is this ok to get or should I keep looking? I've read through most of the post about holster and I think the Galco is what I think I would like.
I appreciate any help on this you can offer and thanks for a great forum. By the way not new to handguns just revolvers.

And a warm welcome from “wild and wonderful “ West Virginia at least that’s what they tell us.

I have the 4 in. Galco. If it has the open bottom -it will fit 3-4-5 in. Revolvers. If you buy the 2 in. with open bottom that will fit up to the 3 in.

Shoot Ray at Lobo Gun Leather an email. He hand makes each holster depending on what you want and is very reasonable.

Thanks for the warm welcome and recommends. I'll get the 4" since that's what I can find and I know I'll enjoy it. I got to throw some lead down range yesterday with the 686 and really like it. I've always been a semi auto guy but I'm really liking this.
Again thanks for your help and I look forward to learning from you guys.

Greetings from the Keystone State. Also look at Simply Rugged holsters. They are well made and won't break the bank.

i like a good custom made holster made in AMERICA . there are a few right here on this site and reasonable and well made. the ones mass produced are cheaper in many respects , sticthing material , and whats the name of the guy that made it, beside the XYZ company they dont even know they just ship

I have a Milt Sparks "PMK" style coming next week they called to confirm and to charge my credit card". They do great work and the wait time is not all that bad for a quality holster. Mine is specific for my Talo 686 3" inch 7 rounder or + as it's refereed to. Check them out.

Welcome!

Galco, Milt Sparks, Mitch Rosen, all make excellent holsters. I usually have El Paso Saddlery make mine: El Paso Saddlery - Holsters
