The empty shell casing envelop was marked 1/16/14 I thought the 438 was discontinued a couple years back. Oh and by the looks 438 looks perfect. I'm going to the range with it tomorrow will see if it shoots as good as it looks.

Maybe somebody found a frame in the back of a drawer that got lost and said, "Assemble it and get it out the door!" If you've never owned a Bodyguard-style gun, you're in for a treat. My favorite style J-frame, my go-to casino companion. Just don't listen to the fiddle-faddle about a dime getting caught in the shroud...I've been in Vegas 4 years and have yet to carry/use change.

Just looked at a new 438 last week at a LGS. Went to ATM for bucks and when I came back the 438 was being sold. The lucky guy was filling out the paperwork. First one I've seen around here in a year.
