624 3" price Lew Horton price check please.
I've seen the prices for these all over the place. This has the box, tools, wax paper etc. Original holster is gone. Original stocks are on it. Gun isn't unfired, but hasn't seen much use at all. Circle C on the box (denotes it passed the metallurgy test for the recall?). Fair value guesses from a private party?

saw a 3" 624 lew horton a few weeks ago at a gun show that was similar in condition to your description with box, papers, etc.
private party seller was asking $925, which IMO is reasonable these days.

I hope not, with combats they go easily for $1200+ on GB.

My uncle recently purchased a 624 no dash 3" Lew Horton, combat grips, box, etc for $1050. He prob wouldn't take less than $1,500 for it. Beautiful guns.

The 624 Lew Horton Special is as good a "trail revolver" as you might find. I bought mine for $825 back in May of '08, complete with the original box, papers and the red circled "C" stamp on the box indicating it had been tested against a recall for some of them for defective steel. I would urge anyone contemplating purchase to check this detail against serial numbers that S&W has available from customer service.
It's also a damn handsome revolver.

Currently on the major gun auction site, three NIB 624 snubs are listed ... Two for $1,395 BIN, and the third for $1,900 BIN (!).
I amend the required price to pry my 624 snub away from me.
