Micarta No finger Groove Grips for Model 638 Airweight
Just got a very nice brand new 638. Easy to keep it in the black at 25 ft using Winchester standard pressure ammo with 130 gr jacketed flat nose bullets. I'll have to try out some hand loads with Unique and 158 gr LSWC's. Very light and easy to carry in a pocket.
But to my point, does anyone have the name of a grip maker where I can find Micarta J frame mono grips with no finger grooves? VZ has some offerings, but they have the finger groove like the stock rubber grips.
I see a lot of older threads on the subject of Micarta grips, but new grip makers come up now and then and I have not been able to find what I am looking for. Hoping there's someone who will make to order.

Don Collins makes custom grips from a variety of older and newer exotic materials, you might try his website: http://www.collinscraftgrips.com

Yes, Collins looks like the leading maker, but I was hoping for something a little less expensive.

Try Boone trading company. I have several pair of their grips. For the price I've been very pleased.

I would look on ebay. I bought some fake ivory grips for my 686 that I thought were really reasonably.
