Default 60-9 -- Date of Manufacture?
New forum participant here. I recently bought a very nice Model 60-9 with 2 ⅛ inch barrel, and from what I can tell, production of the -9 began in 1996. Is that the year mine was made?

Looks like August-ish 1997

Ohhh yeah, welcome to the forum. Nose around all of the posts, even if it doesnt seem like its something youre interested in and you will learn more than you ever thought existed with S&W revolvers. I hope you have a big checkbook.
I recently picked up a 60-9, great gun. Enjoy
