Default Dating a 29-3 44 mag.

Hello, finally got my new in box 29-3 44 mag. Blue with 8.375 barrel serial # AHF6063 legally from my dad, permits are slow to get here in Jersey, would still like to find out when it was actually made. Thanks for you help. Jim

OK according to the standard catalog, this is what I see:

AHA 0667 is January 1985
AHS-AHT is July 1985

So I would think it is circa 1985.

The 29-4 didn't come out until 1988, so I think 1985 is what makes sense.

Nice revolver. I bought a 29-3 brand new back in 1987. Mine has the 6" barrel and it is a well made revolver. I've taken care of mine and it has never let me down. Have fun shooting that one!

It is a beauty. I only have 4"ers, and I want to get either a 29 or a 57, and I am thinking a 6 or 6.5" barrel may be in the cards.

I like your a lot. Very sharp!
